When I really think of it, despite the fact I like several
soft drinks such as
Cherry Coke ,
Seven Up and
Dr Pepper , I went for Scottish
Irn Bru as my favorite which is made by
A.G. Barr of Glasgow . To me, it tastes like a cross between one quarter ginger beer and three quarters lemonade - it's quite refreshing and a fun drink to have as a novelty. Although some people in Britain consume quite a lot of it and it has a reputation as a hangover cure.
Other suggestions include:
Tonic water
Ginger beer
Ginger ale
Root Beer
Sarsparilla
Raspberry
Lime
Cherry
Other Colas such as Pepsi
Diet Drinks such as diet coke or pepsimax
Mango
Tropical
Pineapple
Fanta/any brand of orangeade
Other Fruit-based soft drinks
British soft drinks
American Soft Drinks
Australian Soft Drinks like
P & N and
Nexba
East Asian/Southern Asian/Middle Eastern Soft Drinks
African Soft Drinks
South American Soft Drinks
Energy Drinks are in fact a soft drink as well
Mineral Waters/
Chinotto /Other Italian/European drinks
A non-alcoholic beer will count as a soft drink, despite lack of sweetness
Kombucha
Sparkling iced tea
Pretty much anything carbonated and slightly or sweeter.
However, sparkling alcoholic drinks are not soft drinks as soft drinks are generally non-alcoholic. It's an interesting categorisation.
There are many more suggestions possible for having a soft drink.
Homemade drinks are definitely worthy because some concentrates can be made lower sugar so that is why they could be preferred for health reasons. I realise I am missing a lot of suggestions, so a great chance to chime in with one.
Despite health concerns and many other issues, soft drinks are still fun and if taken in moderation, such as a small can every few weeks can be quite the sweet treat, hence my question,
what is your favorite soft drink?
