Is a freelance writer and school teacher living in Adelaide. On weekends I like to get out and explore with my family. I love travelling and have lived in various cities.
If you are looking for a fun day out with the kids, then this is it. Sunday June 3rd 2012 is a date to pencil in your diary for a trip to the Warland Reserve at Victor Harbor.
There's plenty of activities on offer for the kids from 10am - 4:30pm. On the Playtime stage the entertainers include: the Amazing Drumming Monkeys, Giggly Kids Music, Dr Burt's One Man Band and Dr Blubber. There is also the Whale Time Stage and a Puppet Theatre with more acts.
If you really want to get into the spirit of things and you are between 2-10 years or age, you can enter the fancy dress competition for a chance to win a brand new bike. The theme this year is 'Under the Sea'.
The entertainment on stage is just one part of the festival. There are a myriad of stall holders offering plenty to keep the kids interested and even educated. There are face painters and balloon artists as well as a bouncy castle, Life Be In It games and a bungee tramp. On the entertainment front, there are stalls for the SES, CFS, Wilderness Scociety and PIRSA Fishcare. There are so many other activities on offer you are sure to have some tired children for the ride home.
