Hosted by the South Australian Whale Centre, the pop-up location of Rundle Mall, Gawler Place, North Terrace is where Whale Season 2018 will be launched. Come along and celebrate on Saturday 19 May 2018 from 10am to 3pm and enjoy the talks, and sharing of stories about the joys of whale watching in South Australia.

Find out more about the Whale Identification & Research Program, and learn about whale watching and tours that are run while the kids can enjoy all the free activities in Kondoli the Inflatable Whale. It's also an interesting event for kids; to open up to finding out more about whales. For more information call 8551 0750 or email whalecentre@victor.sa.gov.au

The SA Whale Centre does more than pop-up activities. They run education sessions and tours at their incredible state heritage building located in the heart of Victor Harbor. They have interactive exhibits, audio visual displays, artefacts, cinema and more that'll take you downunder to an underwater world as you learn about cetaceans, whale history and a whole range of local marine creatures.

They also provide a sightings log that's updated each time a sighting is confirmed by a trained spotter, to make sure you get the most accurate information. If you think you have the makings of becoming a whale spotter, contact them on the above given number and email for free training. Join the mailing list and you'll receive updates each time a new sighting is confirmed.

If you're looking for something for the kids, the SA Whale Centre and Sea Shepherd SA are hosting a Whale Time Playtime Festival on Sunday 27 May 2018 from 10am to 4pm at Warland Reserve Victor Harbor, so grab your tickets HERE, which range from $7.42 - $22.19.

Warland Reserve will be a winter wonderland filled with live performances, fun-filled activities, music, workshops and arts, so check it out. Your entry fee includes so much! Enjoy Kondoli the Inflatable Whale again, along with a bouncing castle, carousel ride, an African drumming workshop, amongst others, and so much more. There are even 2-for-1 tickets on the Horse Drawn tram all day. There's plenty of parking available nearby, along with food and coffee. Come along for a fun family day out.
