Art is a great way to ease the stresses of life and to lose yourself in the doing. Dawn Csutoros will lead you in the use of colour to move your audience. Drawing from painters in history who have used these techniques, she will teach you to apply colour theory and colour mixing through practical exercises. You'll come away from this all-day class, pleased with yourself that you've mastered a time-tested technique. Beginners are also welcome at this event.

Do you know what Sumi-e painting is? It's an ancient technique of monochromatic drawing based on the use of India ink, originating in Chinese painting and introduced to Japan in the second half of the 14th Century. Renowned artist Junko Azukawa will be running this class which features Japanese calligraphy. Learn Sumi-e painting strokes and create your own masterpiece. Beginners are welcome and for extra family members who want to attend the class, all they have to do is buy an extra brush.

Specifically designed for beginners, learn how to create a gorgeous everlasting floral arrangement step by step with Jemina. With 30 years of experience under her belt, learn the basic elements of design and a range of techniques that'll have you appreciating mother nature's beautiful creations even more. Most importantly, to have fun with it in the creation. Comes in handy to create stunning compositions for gift giving made from the heart for loved ones too.

A corrosion casting workshop may not be for everyone but it's a time-honoured skill of preserving and presenting fascinating natural specimens. Pardon the pun, but it's a dying art form and these exclusive workshops are a great way to saunter into a skill you may have always wanted to learn and it keeps the art form alive. It's a good long 18-hour event run over two days and at the end of it, you'll walk away with a deeper knowledge of this fascinating scientific process and your very own corrosion cast heart in a glass dome. For all of the events, follow the links given in the listing above for more information on each event.

No matter what the question is, beer is ALWAYS the answer. Spoken like a true blue. One of the oldest alcoholic beverages ever made, learn the intricate process of crafting it. It takes dedication and great attention to details. If you're after learning how to make excellently crafted beer, this is the class for you. You'll be run through an 8 step process of crafting beer: the entire grain brewing process; how malts, hops, yeast, and water affect flavour; the common mistakes made by brewers; how to bottle your beer correctly; how to build and maintain viable home brewing systems and more. Walk away knowing how to identify faults and rectifying them, understand tasting terms and the confidence to brew your own at home.

Stay in touch with WeTeachMe via their Facebook to stay updated. This is not all the classes that are available. You'll find a whole lot more on their website (see examples below) to up-skill at home for now or in IRL down the track.
