Westminster Fun Fair

We love our weekend markets in Adelaide, but they can become pretty ho-hum, with the same stalls every week or every month, particularly if you have children in tow.
A fun fair...now that's something completely different.
Westminster School is having its
annual Fun Fair on Saturday 28 March, from 9am to 3pm. It's the biggest school fun fair in South Australia, so it's definitely worth a visit.
Big and small kids will enjoy rides, sideshows, an animal nursery, and a dunking machine. Market lovers will find stalls selling books, plants, clothing, craft items, and assorted pre-loved bric-a-brac. There will be fresh produce available, perhaps from the School's own farm, or its many farming families, plus there will be plenty of food and entertainment, as you'd expect.
The Fun Fair is also an opportunity to have a 'squiz' at one of Adelaide's top independent schools, with more anonymity than booking a school tour during the year. If you are interested, there will be tours of the grounds and facilities at 10am, 11.30am and 1pm.
All are welcome: you don't have to be connected to the school to attend. Expect a down-to-earth feel, with a real commitment to bringing families together and creating happy, enduring memories for children.
Westminster School is in Alison Avenue, Marion. The grounds are huge (and lovely), so wear your walking shoes if you are going to explore.
The fair will be on the school oval that is closest to Marion railway station, which makes it a public transport-friendly event.
Entry is free, but you'll be asked for a gold coin donation to park on the grounds.
