Running for 49 years is no mean feat. The largest and most spectacular annual community event held on the Mornington Peninsula over three actioned packed days, The 49th Annual Western Port Festival returns from Fri 23 Feb 9am - Sun 25 Feb 10pm, 2018. A popular industrial seaside township and a former fishing village, the Hastings Foreshore, Fred Smith Reserve in Hastings is where all the action is going to be.
This is a free community event run by volunteers, and relies on sponsors to fund the various activities so the event can remain free to the community. Last year saw more than 48,000 people attend over the weekend, so make the most of this hugely popular event with family and friends. It's going to be HUGE! Stay in touch for updates on their Facebook page, and the running discussion on the Event page. You can also check the website for other information.
There will be great food vendors for the foodies, amusements rides, live music on 3 stages, archery, motocross, face painting, classic car show, market stalls with homestyle, giftware, fashion, hair, beauty, clothing, jewellery, trade promotional stands, community car & bike clubs, a street parade, airbrush tattoos, children's activities, a sausage sizzle, and fireworks, plus so much more.
