Help yourself first, then help everyone else
One of the most challenging events in Australia, the Western Mudd Rush, is on again in 2013. Held at The State Equestrian Centre in Brigadoon, on Saturday 17th August and Sunday 18th August, 2013, this event is designed to test and push you to your very limits.

Western Mudd Rush 2013

The Western Mudd Rush is a nine kilometre race incorporating twenty four obstacles, some old and some new. You will have to walk, run, climb, jump, crawl, pull, lift, drag and push your way through loads of mud in order to reach the finish line.

The fun kicks off from 8.30am on Saturday and 9.00am on Sunday. Starts will be staggered into thirty minute intervals. The race could take you a couple of hours to complete or it could take you all day - take it at your own speed and your own pace, there is not time limit.

Entry fee for the Western Mudd Rush 2013 is $100.00 per person plus $5.50 booking fee and you can register on-line or at the venue on the day. This registration fee includes entry into the event, event finishers T-shirt, event novelty item, finishers medallion, sausage sizzle and drink.

On the day, registration is open from 7.00am and will close 45 minutes before the last wave start of the day. Participants should arrive at least 1 hour before their start time and must collect their participation pack before the race.

After the race everyone is invited to a post event party. Join your friends and family to unwind and relax after a day of tough adventuring. There will be plenty of food and drink available to purchase, and a free sausage sizzle, so you can celebrate with other participants and spectators.

If you would like to be involved in the Western Mudd Rush event but don't want to take part in the race, you could volunteer. Large numbers of volunteers are needed to help out on both days, so check out the website and fill in a volunteer registration form.

Spectators are more than welcome and can attend the event free of charge.

This is a very popular event and will sell out, so get your team together (teams only event), and register now.

Due to the seriously challenging nature of this course and the terrifying obstacles that are in place, participants must be 16 years or older to participate. Applicants of 16 and 17 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign a release form or they will not be eligible to participate. This form will be available at the event for parents to sign.

For further details, including event costs, registration details and event policies, check out the Western Mudd Rush website.
