As Christmas approaches local communities around the state are preparing to celebrate in their own way. Adelaide city has a special place in this as home to a growing number of city dwellers and also as the state capital.
The Carnivale will be held on Sunday December 16 between 12 midday and 10pm on the recently pedestrianised Leigh Street, conveniently located close to a range of public transport to avoid the hassles of parking in the city.
Entertaining Children at the West End Christmas Market and Carnivale
While children will be an obvious focus with a range of kid's activities on offer, the Carnivale will also feature a designer market with heaps of handicrafts and gifts, exotic international food stalls and vibrant entertaining global grooves to bring visitors together in a community of dancing.
Last year thousands of families swarmed to the West End to take part in the fun and indulge in some Christmas shopping with a difference. It's an opportunity to bridge a culture gap too, encouraging people of differing backgrounds to take part in the festivities.
