The University of South Australia's
West Bar is a little known on-campus bar, hiding just off North Terrace. It is comprised of two stories with comfy couches, a warm exterior and a street level balcony to enjoy the views.
Walking through the campus towards the bar colourful string and lanterns adorn the trees, giving off a festive feel.
A back courtyard looks welcoming with cosy seats, umbrellas and greenery to meet the eye. Upon entering the pub your eyes will be drawn to the second story and the brightly coloured, artistic lights. The bar is directly to your right as you enter. You will also notice a fuse ball table which is a great game to play, especially with a beer in your hand.

If you choose to go upstairs you are able to stand in the centre of the room and lean against the wall to look down to the floor below. The upper floor has stairs leading to different levels and is normally not busy. So for a particularly boisterous group it is always fun to have an entire top floor to yourselves to laugh and joke without fear of offending.
Due to the West Bars anonymity it is not a very crowded, which adds to the appeal. You can grab a chair, speak across the table and there is not a long wait to get served by the friendly staff.
