A Market for the West
Residing in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, it was a pleasant surprise to discover a twilight market on the 3rd Friday of every month between the months of October and March at the Wedge St Piazza in the heart of Werribee. The market stalls are set in Australian bushland as the Piazza overlooks the Werribee River and towering native Australian trees.
The twilight street market consists of a diverse range of stalls from food to crafts, apparel to jewellery and skin care to some more unusual stalls providing goods for your aquarium and weight loss detox wraps. The market operates from 3pm to 8pm.
Example of diversity of stalls: ITWorks Wraps to help detox and lose weight
Whilst visiting I had the pleasure of chatting to one of the Market organisers, Peter, who was proud as punch to be involved in collaborating and maintaining the summertime market which has been running for over two years. We stood and took in the atmosphere together as we watched on to the stage where "The Rifters" were performing. The band of vocalists comprises of wife Faye and husband Paul and their daughter all belting out tunes together in perfect harmony. The tunes were easy going and fun and they really got your feet tapping.
