Lets Go Safari
Imagine being surrounded with magnificent wildlife including the mighty rhinoceros, the amazing giraffes, cute zebras and antelopes with an open vehicle safari experience right here in Australia and just around thirty minutes away from the main city.
At Werribee Open Range Zoo, near Melbourne, it is all about the safari experience with an Open Safari Vehicle Adventure (free) which takes you all around the zoo to get up close and personal with the amazing wildlife in a different perspective. You really do get immersed in the sights, scents and sounds of the savannah.

The experience does not end there; there are plenty of themes to keep everyone entertained from the monkey rope play to a sailing a boat- giving you hands on experience to make the visit even more enjoyable.
The zoo has a huge range of different types of animals ranging from Invertebrates, Amphibians, Reptiles, Birds and Mammals. From a hippopotamus to Serval's and all creatures big and small in between.

There are four trails: Safari Tour, Pula Reserve Trail, Australian Journey and Wirribi River Trail, so don't forget to put on those comfy walking shoes and hit the trails for a wildlife adventure like no other!
For those of you that want to get even closer to the wildlife, there is a wild encounter experience with a behind-the-scenes tour or stay overnight with a Slumber Safari.
You can even meet the keeper which gives you the opportunity to hear all about the animals from the people who know them best... their keepers! Everyday there are opportunities for a keeper chat, so do check out the times on the website or on site.
