Switch off your phones & play with horses

This summer, EquiTune invites children and young people to step away from the screen and 'think like a pony'!

Come and join EquiTune's Wellness Through Horsemanship Programs this summer; build friendships whilst experiencing equine therapy, natural Horsemanship, bitless riding and liberty play. Bookings are now open for sessions in November and December.

EquiTune offers unique experiences that help children and young people facilitate positive development physically, mentally and emotionally, as well as develop key life skills alongside horsemanship goals.

In EquiTune's safe and encouraging environment, children and young people will learn to develop a relationship with a horse and learn:

  • The horse's innate needs.

  • How horses communicate with each other.

  • What the horse's priorities are.

  • The difference between being assertive and being aggressive.

  • The difference between discipline and punishment.

  • How to be calm and have a plan.

Through the Wellness Through Horsemanship Programs, children and young people will learn the value and need for clear rules and boundaries as well as the need for consistency, clarity, predictability and congruency. Through understanding these factors, one can develop confidence, empathy and important life practices which include:

  • Respect for self.

  • Respect for others.

  • Responsibility for everything they do.

The Wellness Through Horsemanship Programs are also flexible and you can choose from weekly or fortnightly sessions that are either in the saddle and/or on the ground. NDIS welcome.
