As seen from Main Road.
The
Wellington Point Village Green is located on Main Road Wellington Point, a Brisbane Bayside suburb known for wetlands and the popular walk to King Island at low tide. Upon visiting, the radiant sunshine allowed for clear photographing of the green with a light blue sky backdrop. There is only minimal seating in the green.
Signs outside the green opposite several takeaway cafes reveal the communal aspect of the green as well as its proximity to the walk to the jetty at Wellington Point. If one goes even further past the jetty at low tide, there is a
sandbar walk to King Island.

For what it lacks in seating, the design of the tiny park compensates with a small but useful range of shaded spots. The local birdlife got excited to see several people who were working locally stop off for lunch during midday on a December Friday. There's plenty of parking at the green; I counted at least ten parking bays, but there seemed to be more than ten bays.

Noticeable was a thoroughly signed history on the Harcourts Real Estate wall. The sign is visible from the centre of the green. My photo below shows most of the timeline of the local area's history as an impressively large sign.

To arrive here in Wellington Point and see the little green as well as the thriving and compact commercial area of this bayside suburb on Main Road left me feeling pleasantly surprised. The Wellington Point Village Green is a family-friendly place, a communal place, and a place the local community can be proud of.
