While the saying 'it takes a village to raise a child' may have become a cliché, the idea behind it—that children grow up as a part of a community—remains an important one. A community is not just a location but an
opportunity for connection. It is integral for children to develop a sense of belonging and identity. This is a great event for mums and dads, in the greater Springfield region, with babies! Spend your morning amongst other parents in celebration and get connected. If you've just had a baby what a great way welcome your baby into the community.
Register
Register* your baby (up to 18 months old), through the
Eventbrite website, to receive an official "welcome" into the community, as well as...
A special certificate
A bag of goodies
A commemorative photo for you to keep.
Connect
I think it's important that parents support each other through the journey of raising children today. With lots of information stalls, this is also a great opportunity to connect with a range of services and organisations catering to babies and their families in Greater Springfield and surrounding suburbs.
Entertainment
Bring all the kids you can find because there's heaps of entertainment - including...
Face painting
Balloon twisting
Goooood coffee for the adults
For the latest information check out their
Facebook page. This event is proudly brought to you by Milton Dick MP (phone 07 3879 6440) and Charis Mullen MP State Member for Jordan (phone 07 3447 9300)
Each family only needs to register once - parents, family and siblings are welcome to come along but do not have to be registered. If you have two babies that you wish to register, there is space to add a second baby's details on the form. Make sure you bring your ticket along or have it ready to show on your mobile.
