I don't know about you, but I love anything that is free. Things always seem better when you don't have to pay for them!
So if you want to have a free afternoon out, check out the event. A free family event to welcome in the cooler months.
The event will be held at the New Quay Piazza between 2pm - 6pm on Saturday June 1st where you and the kids can enjoy kite making workshops and many other fun children's activities that are yet to be announced. Adults and children will also be able to listen to some relaxed Sunday tunes by Docklands resident DJ along with some roving entertainers, to keep the kids amused.
To get to Docklands jump aboard the free city circle no.35 tram or the free tourist shuttle bus. Alternatively there are approximately 5000 car parks at Docklands and parking is $2 an hour or $7 flat rate.
If you want something to do before the Welcome in Winter at Docklands event starts, then there are plenty of things do nearby.
Medibank Ice House is a fun way to get rid of some energy and the kids will love it. Unfortunately is not the cheapest option but it's fun. Kids are $21 with skate hire and adults $25 with skate hire.
The
Lego Education Centre is at 5/439 Waterfront City and another favourite for children (including big ones) sessions are held in 45 minute blocks throughout the day (between 10am- 2pm) and cost $5 per person ( 4years ).
Call 03 96021116 for session times and to reserve a spot.
Monkey Mania is an indoor play centre at 120 Studio Lane Docklands. Kids can have great fun trying to get lost in the giant 3D maze. The centre caters for children aged 1 - 12 years of age. Prices vary between $3.50 - $11.50 and is open from 9:30am - 6pm
Have a great time at Docklands and embrace .
