that queenslanders use the word Smoko for a morning break, or possibly the afternoon one too. Not so silly in the days when people smoked and in the workplace, but I ahve seen it and heard the word used on TV for all sorts of places including schools, Mayoral dignities morning teas, with a big sign, saying Smoko 10.30 in the conference room. Very quirky. Would like to know if it more widespread than Qld, definitely not in NSW I believe.
