The Coal Leader Platform gives several different types of free classes and this one is all about Wellness.

Most of us want to lead the healthiest life possible and by attending this free workshop, you will get hints for all levels of experience from beginners upwards. I have also read that "happiness is a state of mind, therefore the real source of happiness lies in the mind, not in external circumstances." I would totally agree with this and while I personally have not done any meditation courses, I feel sure they are of great benefit to many millions of people around the world. I have, however, done a lot of yoga which includes some meditation.

If our minds are peaceful then we can be happy on the whole regardless of what is going on around us. However, if we are not peaceful and content, we will never find that elusive happiness, no matter how much we try to change our external world. The purpose of meditation is to manage those states of mind that could bring about inner peace and well-being and get rid of the states of mind that are not.

Wellness will be held on Wednesday 13th February and Wednesday 27th March 2019, from 7:00 am until 7:45 am at The Coal Loader Platform, 2 Balls Head Drive, Waverton.

Make a healthy start to the New Year and join in this class and other classes every Wednesday morning until 3rd April 2019. The classes are free to all local residents and they could do you the world of good!

Get your FREE tickets at this link , where there are also other dates available.

This wellness series is provided by North Sydney Council and it is Mindfulness Meditation with Kate Alexandra.

These will be outdoor classes which will examine "single-pointed focus", concentration on the senses, breathing, and details of the natural surroundings around us. Through these practices, we will learn to be more in the present moment and not so much dwelling in the past or the future. You will also appreciate the fine details of all life around us and within us. For these classes, you need have no previous experience in meditation and beginners are welcome.
