Friends invited us to a school holiday performance of Webers Circus at Hamilton, so a big gang of us headed off for a 3pm session. I was really impressed by the quality of the performers in this Australian family circus -- great acrobatics, juggling, hula hooping and a 'wheel of death' that I found genuinely electrifying.
The show also includes a short dog act (very cute, quite funny) and a couple of miniature pony routines (not my favourite part). I'm not a big fan of animals in circuses, but these ones didn't look stressed and weren't actually on show for that long.
Our kids (from 8 to 12) loved it and stayed interested for the whole show. From $24 for adults and $14 for kids (up to 2 years free), till Sunday 20 July.
