View & celebrate the work of over 50 talented illustrators
The impressive QV based No Vacancy Gallery will host Wear Art Thou, a contemporary exhibition that will feature over 50 unique t-shirt designs from Illustrators Australia members.
Illustrators Australia is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to strengthen the illustration community and profession.
Wear Art Thou will be the culmination of a new venture between Illustrators Australia and the revolutionary online artist marketplace, Redbubble. Redbubble was founded in 2006 and creates customised products using original user submitted artwork. Redbubble HQ is located in Melbourne, Australia, however they have printing partners in Australia, the US, and the UK and talented artists that submit their work from around the world.
Redbubble has challenged Illustrator Australia members to push their creative boundaries and create designs specifically for t-shirts. Submissions were of the highest quality and unique to the artist, and will be on display in this exciting Wear Art Thou exhibition.
View the illustrations and other works displayed on a range of mediums, from wall art to throw pillows from September 3rd to September 14th, at No Vacancy Gallery in QV.
The exhibition will be supported by tee enthusiast and founder of T-world, Eddie Zammit, who will attend the opening night on Friday 5 September to award a people's choice award. Expect drinks, tunes, snacks and incredible art at a sophisticated gallery. This is a free event for all interested in illustration. To register for the open night click here.
