The Workers' Educational Association of South Australia Incorporated also known as WEA was founded in 1913, it has since then been Australia's largest non-government adult community education provider
WEA Centre on Angas Street, Adelaide.
The WEA provides a large variety of courses on many different topics. Here, after an easy and straightforward enrolling process; anyone 15 and over, can enjoy the benefits of attending a one day course, workshop or long-term course. You may want to up-skill to gain better job prospects, become more computer literate, finally learn an art or craft, meet others with similar interests or simply learn a new hobby. Courses vary in price, length and times.
The WEA publishes five Course Guides each year in late January, early April, mid-June, early September and late November. For those not living in or near Adelaide city; the WEA offers courses in over 30 locations in metropolitan areas, browse the Course Guide to find what courses may be running near you. If you are near the city and would like to attend a course at the WEA centre; you may be pleased to know this campus offers many facilities including WiFi, male and female showers with changing facilities, vending machines, reception to assist you with any queries, kitchenette facilities (microwave, kettle, filtered water, sink), dining area and on-site ticketed car parking.
