Ever since I read about these famous Flowerpot Scones on Weekend Notes some time ago I have been wanting to try them, and on a recent weekend getaway to the beautiful Blue Mountains, I knew I'd have them in my hot little hands soon enough.

Being a bit of a scone fiend I had high expectations for these little bundles of scone goodness and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Although they seem a little pricey at $5.50 a pop from memory (although everything seems a little pricey in the touristy Blue Mountains), the novelty of having your scone arrive in a little terracotta pot is worth it. They were wonderfully warm and fluffy and I was very pleased to see a healthy serving of jam and cream to accompany my scone. All in all a very tasty experience.

Why? The sheer novelty of having a delicious scone served in a flowerpot
Where: The Wayzgoose Cafe in Leura, Blue Mountains
Cost: I think about $5.50 or so a scone
