Experience Melbourne like a local

Founded in 2017 by a local Melbourne Tour Guide, Wayward Wanders offers high quality, creatively designed walking tours in Melbourne with a modern alternative twist.

There is no better way to immerse yourself in our colourful city - discover its eclectic history, hidden spaces and iconic laneways, dynamic street art scene and cultural hotspots.

Wayward Wanders various tours take curious-minded guests away from the usual tourist attractions and instead explores the cultural neighbourhood hotspots. Their tours largely focus on local history and culture, the environment, community, politics, street art and the local music scene.

Each tour you take also gives back to the community with 10% of all profits made donated to local charities, community groups and social enterprises.

Choose from two inspiring options:

  • The Alternative Tour

Explore Melbourne's most eclectic and alternative inner-city neighbourhoods - Fitzroy and Collingwood – and discover local Aboriginal history, culture and significant icons, incredible street art, local music history, gorgeous 19th century architecture and much more!

  • The Greenie Tour
