Everything on this list under one roof
The local library offers access to books, movies, magazines and more for free (except for the cost of a library card). Whether one goes alone or with a relative or friend, the local library is a wonderful leisure activity. There are so many advantages that you may not have taken them all. Why not look over the below list to find out what you have not experienced.

Books
The book section has always been the focal point of libraries. For example, Cookbooks, Autobiographies, Biographies, Religion, Fitness, Nutrition, Romance, Children, Fiction in general and Non-Fiction in general.

Cassettes and CDs
Although cassettes are now basically obsolete, some libraries still have them. CDs have taken the place. For example, a person may listen to music and/or books. DVDs are there to take advantage of exercises, movies and/or cartoons.

Weekly Programs
A nice way to socialize for free, maybe with kids activities, adult crafts, book clubs, etc.

Magazines
Grab the latest issue of your favourite magazine without having to pay the cost at stores!

Coupons
Some libraries have a container for patrons to drop off coupons or pick up coupons.

I Have a Few Tips

If you ever feel stressed, why not go to your local library and "treat" yourself to something good? You could maybe select a good cookbook to find a few good new recipes. Maybe you just need some peace and sit at a table and chair. Would you like to learn something new with fellow patrons after library hours? Join a craft class, Do you need a new good workout? Choose a new exercise DVD.

In Closing

If you know a person who cannot get to the local library, why not pick up a few things for them.
