Going to the cinema isn't just about seeing the latest releases. A big part of the experience is the candy bar and those delicious choc-tops. I've seen people park in the 5-minute drop-off zone outside a cinema and race in to buy a choc-top. They most likely were driving past and had a hankering for one!
Given one of the only places you can buy choc-tops is at cinemas, they have become pretty special.

Even though we can't go to cinemas right now, a few cinemas have heard about our cravings and are discovering ways we can get hold of our favourite ice-creams.
Palace in Balwyn
From next Friday, May 15, Palace Balwyn Cinema will be selling takeaway food & drink. Yes, that means home-made choc-tops, barista-made coffee, premium wines, craft beer, and cocktails to take home with you. You can also get your popcorn and arguably it is the
healthiest cinema popcorn around as it is popped in olive oil.
They will, of course, be employing social distancing measures including card-only transactions and 1.5-meter distancing between staff and customers.

Hoyts works with UberEats, so you can enjoy candy bar fare while snuggling in on your couch at home. Think handfuls of salty popcorn and the choc-top flavour of your choice to add to your movie night at home.
Delivery is available between 2–9.30pm each day, and you will need to live within the delivery zone of one of Hoyts' physical sites.

Have you ever thought about where choc-tops come from? The Choc Top Icecream Co. is a family run business that produces handmade, quality choc-top ice creams in a variety of flavours. They supply a number of cinemas.
We all know how expensive choc-tops are when we go the cinema but if you are in a position where you can drop in here (this outlet is in Mornington), then you will be surprised at how cheaply you can buy a whole bundle of their choc-tops - around $2.50 apiece! You do need to preorder a bundle of at least 10 and can pick these up on
Fridays only.
