Are you sick of seeing those same 4 walls everyday, the same guys taking selfies of their 'muscles' in the mirror or just getting a little tired of the daily gym slog. Below I have listed some of the best ways to get fit whilst having fun as well. So feel free to ditch the gym, broaden your horizons and give any of the below a try.
Rock-climbing. Have you ever seen a fat rock climber? No. Rock-climbing is an excellent sport that really works out your whole body. This is a particularly great way to work the core and also your upper arms, building great upper body strength. This is a great sport for all levels whether you are an experienced or beginner climber. With different coloured rocks to follow according to your level there is a climb for everyone.

This is not a solo sport and you do need to come with a buddy so one is able to belay(hold the rope) while the other climbs.

St Leonards Rock Climbing centre is great. With multiple walls of all levels as well as a onsite gym. If you get bored of climbing the walls they also have ladders, ropes and even a rotating rock climbing wall to practice on.

You can get by wearing your own shoes but it is much easier in proper rock-climbing shoes. You are able to hire a harness and shoes from the centre for a relatively good price and then you are ready to climb away.

Sydney Trapeze School- This a fun an energetic way to get fit. Who hasn't wanted to learn to fly? Or watched those circus performers and wanted to be just like them swinging and tumbling from rope to rope. Well now with Sydney Trapeze Schoo you can. They offer a beginner trapeze class, which is suitable for all levels and runs from Tuesday to Saturday. The class goes for 2 hours and you will be able to swing from 8metres whilst practicing your flips and tumbles in the air.

Rowing-There is such a fantastic feeling of being on the water. Rowing provides a great cardio vascular workout as well as the chance to meet a new energised group of people. With water surrounding us here, Sydney has no shortage or rowing clubs. Glebe Rowing Club offers learn to row courses starting from June/July. This is a great way to get a taster of the sport and also workout at the same time.

Surfing Classes- Surfers, damn they look cool out there with their tanned skinned and sun blonde hair. That could be you out there carving up the waves. For those who are surfing newbies then Bondi and Manly both offer great surf schools. Both offering one off lessons of around 2 hours or if you really catch the surf bug they also have surfing courses you can take. Surfing is a great and compared to many other sports is relatively cheap to enjoy. After you have your board all you need to do is chase the waves. This is also a sport anyone of any age can get into. Once you feel that thrill from the first time you stand up I guarantee you'll be back for more.

Join a sports team- Netball, basketball, soccer, volleyball and more. All these sports are great ways to engage in a weekly sport and also meet a new bunch of people. Most universities run sports teams and Gumtree is also a great place to look for others with similar ideas looking to join a team or put a team together. If you don't have any luck with either of these another way is contacting the sporting centres in your areas and asking how to join a new team.

There are tons of ways to combine health and fitness into your daily life as well. Going for a walk in the park during your lunch break or taking the stairs rather than the lift. With proven facts that regular exercise makes you more successful, enjoy a better sex life, and have a happier disposition then I say that's the best incentive I have heard.
