Using coupons is a great way to go above and beyond the everyday sales and discounts, and pro-actively save more. But where can you get coupons? Here are some of the best places to find them.

With Free Samples

Really, there's little that can compare with this fantastic arrangement. Being able to request free samples is great, but not only do many of these companies send you their products at no cost, they also send coupons for the products sampled. This means that if you use the samples and like them then decide to buy, you are able to get savings on your purchase.

This, without doubt, is the best way to get coupons - especially for the newest products on the market. To find out how to get free samples, and thereby access more coupons, check out my article Where to Get Free Samples Online .

In Free Magazines

The best 'deals magazine' in recent times is the Negotiator Magazine. This little booklet was established in 2005 and contains almost purely coupons.

The magazine has different editions for Parramatta, the Hills, Blacktown, and a number of locations in south west Sydney as well. This allows the publication to cater specifically to the location, and the local businesses. You can pick up a free copy from various stores. For a list of the shops stocking the Negotiator in your area, check out the Negotiator Magazine website .

At the Mall

A time-honoured source of coupons is the good old shop-a-docket, which is still found on the back of shopping receipts at some major outlets. There is no end to the types of coupons found on the back of shop-a-dockets. There are deals on cruises and long distance train journeys, fast food, fun parks, pest control and more. Cut them out and present in-store when redeeming, or follow the instructions on the coupon. Just ensure to check the expiry date of each coupon and use it before then.

Some malls like Westfield bring out coupon books periodically and these are worth snapping up. A good approach is to tear out the perforated mini coupons and then put them in the clear sleeve of your wallet. This way you will remember to use them, and will always have them on hand.

On Coupon Websites

The online coupon site with the best range is Buckscoop . You can search the list of sellers to find coupons they have available. Alternatively, simply check out the recent coupons page for a listing of the latest. Find coupons for Avis, Cotton On, Terry White Chemists and many others.

There are only a few other coupon sites catering to us here in Australia, and the others tend to be online versions of hard copy coupons like the Shop-A-Docket website and the Negotiator Magazine website .

In Your Mail

Next time you check your letter box, don't be so quick to throw out the junk mail. Coupons are still available in the post.

You will often find coupons for local businesses, and these can provide larger savings than usual. In these cases, businesses are trying to encourage new customers, and so they are usually willing to offer better coupon deals.

These are by no means the only places to get coupons, but try these out and you will be well on your way to creating more savings for yourself.
