During the coronavirus pandemic, we need our mental toolbox to get through the day. As a carpenter has a toolbox with tools to build, so do we in our mind. Our mental toolboxes contain our coping skills.

Some examples of coping skills are as follows:

Deep breathing
Self-explanatory.

Go for a walk
Whether inside or outside.

Go to your happy place
Lay down and imagine where you would love to be.

Take a siesta
Take a few moments to rest.

Drink a cup of coffee or tea
Have a cup in peace and quiet.

Go shopping
Even if window shopping or for a little retail therapy.

Prepare a comfort food
Feel like making yourself that lasagna?

Listen to music
My favorite radio station is called KLOVE. You can find it on
iheartradio .

Write a letter
Send an old-fashioned to a loved one.

Read a book or magazine
Grab reading material off of your bookshelf that you have been procrastinating on reading.

Go to the library
Don't have a laptop? Use the library's computers. Free!

Exercise
Buy some exercise DVDs and workout.

Dance
Like nobody's watching
Clip coupons
Challenge yourself to save money. Feel relief when there is still money in your wallet after shopping.

As you have seen, there are plenty of ways to destress during the coronavirus.

Yes, we are able to go out in public more but some people are still stressed out.

I hope this article helps you!
