Although the month may be different, the meaning is the same
Many times, December weather is so bad that loved ones cannot gather for Christmas. Wouldn't it be neat to maybe have a Christmas celebration in July?
The celebration does not have to be extravagant. Who wants to spend the hot weather with stuffy people?
The following are a few cute ideas:
Get out the grill and have a cookout. With the food being burgers and hot dogs, ask invites to bring their favorite side dish to share. Yes, having steaks would be nice but would be quite expensive. Be yourself. You are there to celebrate not to impress.
Eggnog on the rocks. Instead of having cola and beer, make your eggnog but on the rocks. Look up "Easiest Eggnog" on allrecipes.com for the best eggnog recipe. Then, supply the ice cubes with glasses.
Iced hot chocolate.
Like eggnog on the rocks, prepare iced hot chocolate. Prepare a Crock-Pot of hot chocolate with ice cubes and glasses nearby.
Prepare some no-bake cookies. Instead of heating the house while baking cookies, prepare some delicious and easy no bakes. A popular one here in the United States are called "buckeyes", which is actually peanut butter and chocolate.
Instead of watching Hallmark movies, bond.
Do you see someone at your party kind-of all alone? Start a conversation.
Listen to Christmas music.
Get some Christmas music CDs from your local library.
Plant a pine tree.
Make your home be known as the Christmas in July home... tree and all.
Perform an act of kindness or pay it forward, instead of exchanging gifts.
Think together about who you could bless. Do you know of someone who is going through hell or is all alone? Make them a care package.
Hopefully, you have been inspired to celebrate Christmas so that all are safe and not traveling on hazardous roads.
The month may be different but the meaning is still the same.
