Wayne Donnelly presents 'Comedy Hypnosis Show', running as part of Adelaide Fringe Festival at The Arkaba: Top of the Ark at 2:00pm on March 12th, for one-show-only. After setting the expectations high in 2016, Donnelly was back with a new show. Volunteers lined up along the stage knowing that only some of them would make it till the end of the show. Everyone is capable of falling under hypnosis but some can fall deeper than others and i'ts the people under deep hypnosis that last the show on stage.

Donnelly uses hypnosis to transform the volunteers into hilarious scenarios, making them forget who they came to the show with, only to remember Donnelly himself. One volunteer was convinced her shoe was a phone and whenever she heard a phone ring, she answered her shoe. She heard it speak back, saying it was 'Donald Trump' and told him he only won because he rigged the election and is the most hated man in the world. Later in the show, volunteers were transported back to childhood and Trump rang again, this time she started to cry saying Mr Donald was going to build a fence to keep her from her tacos.

The 12th of March The Arkabar hosted 'The Arkabars Got Talent' featuring an Irish dancing competition and a Gangham Style dance off, that left volunteers devastated when the lady who didn't wake up for that scene won the contest. Hypnosis-ed volunteers said she didn't deserve when she did nothing to contribute. Guests loved watching the volunteers dance to Gangham Style; it's amazing how many people actually know that dance.

During the halftime break, one volunteer was convinced he was the toilet police and wore a police hat and whistle. He blew the whistle at anyone who didn't wash their hands and announced who they were when the show re-began. One girl could only speak in alien and other could only translate alien. Another was convinced she had lost her breasts and used the break to find them.

Volunteers found that the number two was completely wiped from their memories, counting their fingers one, three, four, five, six or another said one, three, four, three, one. One volunteer couldn't remember her name, a confident male turned into a fully clothed stripper, while another was the police making sure eager women kept their distance.

Comedy Hypnosis was a brilliant show that left the audience laughing till the end. Sadly one 2 hour show during the Fringe isn't enough because if we tell our friends, we have to tell them to come see it next year. 5/5 Stars, an afternoon of hilarious entertainment.
