To those who wish to steal themselves away for a couple of hours from the unassailable everyday pace of the city and yet mesmerize themselves with the close spectacular views of Sydney skylines, Waverton park is your answer. This lush spread of green is a 10 minute walk from Waverton station that remains inconspicuous to some but clear to the others, located at the corner of Woolcott and Larkin street.

Though this picture may be captivating you with the sheer beauty and silence all around, you may surprise yourself getting engrossed to a game of bowling happening at the Waverton bowling club across on Merrett playground, located on the upper tier of this park. The park offers a sporting field (called Joseph Bugler sporting field) as well as a playground for children, making it a perfect getaway for families.

Set beneath abundant green trees the park offers panoramic views of Berrys Bay and skyline from . As you walk into the park there are pathways leading to the rear end of the park which has lookouts provided, to enjoy the breeze and engage in the beauty of the harbour in the background. A flight of stairs from this area will lead you down to the sporting field on the banks of the harbour, well concealed from the upper levels of the park.

Located just a short distance away from the park you can also make your way to Balls Head or Berry Island Reserve for some bushland experience.
