The Wave Rock Weekender makes its way back to Perth.
Over two whole days and nights, the wave Rock Weekender has about 20 Australian and international music artists, feature films and documentaries in the middle of the Australian bush, right on the edge of the desert.
Last year I had the most amazing weekend camping there. I had never been to Wave Rock either so that was even better. It gave me the chance to visit the area.
At night you have the most amazing clear sky with all the stars. During the day you can just enjoy everything that's going on around, the music, the people or just visit the nature and enjoy the amazing salt pond. There's a 24 hours cinema program, 24 hours food and bar, which is quite cheap. I reckon it's one of the best weekenders you could have. This festival includes so many type of artistic genres such as indie folk, swing, Bollywood, blues, reggae, electronic, psychedelic music and more.
One of the artists included in the line-up this year is The tallest man on Earth. I have seen him, in France, and he was simply great. He just has an amazing voice and a presence on stage.
The line-up also includes Ash Grunwald, Electric Wire Hustle, Abbe May, Joe Pug, Puta Madre Brothers, The Bombay Royal, Brothers Grim and many more.
This weekender really reminded me of what having fun and having a good time is all about.
The weekender used to be in September but this year it will start Friday 28 October at midday as it is a public holiday in WA only, and will end Sunday morning. It will take place at Wave Rock Caravan Park, which is three and a half hours drive east of Perth, about 340km.
Seeing as it is a bit far from Perth, you will need to think about transportation. They usually recommend people not to take a car, as you will not need to use it when you're actually there. So, transport wise the other choice you have is to catch the coach that leaves Friday morning before the weekend starts.
Tickets are already on sale. Be quick as there are not that many tickets available.
This is an 18 or older event.
