The
is being held on Sunday 5th May 2019 and hosted by the Wattle Grove State Public School. This bi-annual event has become the top fundraising event for the
Wattle Grove State Public School P&C . The event raises much-needed funds for the school to support new digital equipment, air-conditioning for classrooms, play equipment and more. This year, funds will go towards the refurbishment of the Technology Room, which provides a flexible learning space, the construction of an outdoor learning space and playground markings.
The fair will commence at 10.00am and conclude at 3.00pm. There are so many stalls this year that you will think you are at a local show, so this means there will be something for everyone. Entry is free and the local member, Melanie Gibbons, will do the honour of opening the fair.
The School Hall will be the venue for the line-up of entertainment. Kicking off at 10.30am, the timetable is below.

It will be hard to know what to do first as you will want to meander around all the market stalls to have the opportunity to talk to stall owners and this will take some time to do with the number of vendors present. Some of the stalls are returning from other years and some are completely new. A list of stall holders is as follows.
Scentsy
KizMo
Sensory Fidget & More
Tupperware
Lipsense / Senegence
Discovery Lane
Park Lane
Gifts & Things from Me 2 You
Visual Art Design
Tracy's Toys & Showbags
Intimo
Pretty Pastels
Blooming Originals
As well, there will be displays from the
Sandy Point Rural Fire Brigade, Defence Force,
Australian Air League Band (Moorebank Squadron) , WGPS Dance performances, martial arts, aerobic groups and
Jubilee Amusements with rides for the children.
After all this exercise, both physical and mental, you will be looking for refreshments to rejuvenate your stamina so you can take in more of the excitement. The school canteen and bar-be-que will be providing hot dogs, sausage rolls, pies, chicken nuggets and drinks; however, you may like to try the other options available –
Woody on Wheels ,
Mr Kernal , Sisters Gozleme, Dapto Dogs,
Lets Do Yum Cha ,
Yum Thai Juice Bar, Bite Me Mini Donuts , Cold Rock Ice-cream and
Williams de Nass Coffee Roasters . No event would be complete without Fairy Floss and Snow cones, which will be supplied by Jubilee Amusements.
If the above is not enough to have you gaping at the mouth, the Wheel of Fortune and major raffle will do just that with a raffle first prize $2,500 travel voucher from iTravel, a family photograph voucher from Glitz N Glamour Photography and a Weber Baby Q2000 Premium for third prize. Tickets can be purchased at the fair or
online . Ticket prices are $5.00 each, three for $12.00 or 10 for $35.00 and will be drawn at 2.00pm on the day of the event.
The Wheel of Fortune is part of the 100% School Profit Stalls, which are all run by WGPS volunteers. Included in the School Profit Stalls is a lolly stall, a Trash N Treasure with second-hand kids toys and books and Mother's Day hampers. With heaps of vouchers as prizes, however far too many to mention here, an indication of what's on the wheel, includes boxing passes, tutoring services, tickets to games, holidays, food venues and family passes and so on.
A fair of this magnitude needs plenty of help to get it up and running with full accolades going to the numerous volunteers who give their time to erect marques, set up tables and chairs etc, and of course, take them all down again at the end of the day. If you would like to give some time as a volunteer, you can sign up for one-hour slot times
here .
As this fair only occurs once every two years, please mark the date on your calendar as it is a family friendly day you do not want to miss. With so much entertainment and activities to see, there is something for everyone in the community. Forget the shows, the
is the place to be. The address is Cressbrook Dr, Wattle Grove, Liverpool.
