You cannot put off the onset of summer. The need for bathers is as inevitable as pimples on a teenager so, breathe, slow, breathe in. It'll be all right… and you won't have to break into your term deposit.
Don't enjoy bathers shopping? Join the club and swear allegiances by reciting this shared mantra: I don't like swimming
To reduce the torture of trudging through endless bathers shops, tired and feeling dejected because 'they always look better on the rack without my skin in them', look no further.
If this sounds like you, and you love a bargain, head on over to Watersun in Collingwood for those 'just in case I absolutely have to swim' bathers for all ages and styles.
Watersun is in a big, easy to find warehouse right next door to Sunny Girl. It is a wholesaler open to the public. I was surprised when Paul (the manager) told me they sell lots of swimwear to bus tour shoppers. I need at least an hour to choose them, let alone brave the change rooms. I guess this would stop a lot of the procrastinating if you have to find, fit and pay for your gear in 15 mins… or perhaps it's a testament to the swimwear they stock.
Watersun Swimwear is a designer Australian swimwear brand. Check out their online store. Watersun used to be in Thomastown until the end of 2013. It is continuing to build up its stock but currently sells a lot of swimmers for females and separates (from only $25).
They also stock lots of wraps, towels, compression gear and have a large range of cup sizes (A-F!) and other beachwear apparel. They have a range of power mesh bathers, I call tummy huggers and are moving into men's shorts and briefs and UV protection gear.
Watersun have very good bargains with up to a whopping 80% off. So if you need slimming, sexy, push ups, practical bathers, maternity swimwear, mastectomy swimwear, plus size and other gear for a breezy summer this is a must do visit.
