Situated on the water's edge of the magnificent Keppel Bay Marina, The Waterline Restaurant offers friendly hospitality and multi-award-winning cuisine with uninterrupted views of marine leisure. Just 10 minutes from Yeppoon, you can indulge in the best waterfront dining experience.





Beginning as a humble cafe serving coffee and sandwiches, The Waterline Restaurant now is offering the quintessential Capricorn Coast and Southern Great Barrier Reef dining experience with a paddock to plate experience from their alfresco landscaped gardens and deck.





As we entered Keppel Bay Marina building, we could see rows of award certificates won by this restaurant. Not until long, a waitress showed us our seats. We were seated on their verandah amongst a beautiful garden. There was a marquee filled with people from a gathering and there were also some tables under a picnic umbrella near the outdoor children's play area. The place was packed that day.





They have an app that you can browse their menu on, otherwise the old-school menu can be found at the reception desk. Plenty of choices are offered, including street food such as crocodile spring rolls, agedashi tofu and crispy corn and lime leaf cakes. The curry and wok menu includes Pad Thai, laksa and nasi goreng and market stall options such as Japanese potato salad, green tea noodle and green salad, as well as options from grill, oven and fry and also some kids menu items. I noticed there were plenty of Asian dishes as well as vegan and vegetarian options.





I chose Karaage Chicken for my lunch that day. It was served with some greens and goma dare sauce or Japanese sesame sauce. It was very nice. The chicken was tender inside and crunchy outside and the sauce was just a perfect complement. Hubby had Banana Station Rib Fillet Steak with Japanese potato salad and yakiniku sauce. The Waterline Restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients and products such as their own beef that is produced on their family cattle properties, Banana Station. These authentic and fresh ingredients are combined with handcrafting avant-garde techniques with a pretty presentation that will satisfy all senses.



They also have an exceptional range of hand-selected craft beers and boutique wines to accompany your meal. Every now and again, they will have live music that put another top point for this restaurant.
