Frankston's most anticipated FREE summer festival returns on the weekend of 10th and 11th of February!

This year's sun-soaked festival is set to be bigger and better than ever as the event will welcome the Queen's Baton Relay on its journey to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games!

Now in it's 19th year, The Waterfront Festival showcases the beautiful bayside city of Frankston and offers a jam-packed programme of beachside fun for all ages to enjoy!

Over two spectacular days, you catch a fabulous live music line-up, take part in thrilling beach and water sports, browse boutique market stalls, sample delicious food and unwind with local wine, cider and craft beer!

A much loved summer event, The Waterfront Festival attracts locals and visitors alike to Frankston Waterfront, which will be transformed into a bustling festival village.

Over the two fun-filled days, you and your family can:

  • Catch the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton Relay. Cheer on local legends as they carry the Queen's Baton through Frankston City. Batonbearers are people of all abilities who inspire others to be great, showcasing their sporting achievements and community contribution to the world.

    The Queen's Baton Relay travels through Frankston City on Sunday 11 February 2018 from 4pm to 6pm.

  • See Sammy J, The Bamboos, Pierce Brothers and more on the Live 'n' Local Main Stage

  • Discover the latest Sand Sculpting Australia exhibition

  • View an Art and Craft Show at Mechanics Institute, featuring talented local artists from Peninsula Arts Society Inc., Embroiderers Guild Mornington Peninsula, Frankston Red Cross and Frankston Photographic Club. Entry is free and the venue is wheelchair friendly.

  • Take in the views from the Expo Wheel and have fun on all your favourite rides and amusements at the Fun Fair.

  • Cool off with some Beach and Water Sports proudly presented by Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC). Choose from fishing, snorkelling, sailing and more activities that are sure to keep you busy well into the day!

  • Trawl through The Market and Lifestyle Zone. The Market and Lifestyle Zone has something for everyone with a variety of unique crafts, jewellery, clothes and delicious gourmet treats.

  • Enjoy tantalising international cuisine at Food Truck Square Festival Dining including Asian street food, Brazilian BBQ, Japanese cuisine, Indian cuisine, Acai bowls and more!

  • Sample wine, cider and craft beer from the likes of Jetty Road Brewery, Mr Banks Brewing, Sangria and Chirping Bird Wines at The Cheeky Squire Garden

  • Keep the little ones entertained with Children's Shows and the Family Play Zone, proudly presented by Springfree Trampoline. Enjoy interactive activities, face painting, Frankston Toy Library and jump around on trampolines before relaxing and listening to the live music of the festival.

  • Finish the day with the exciting Fireworks display from Frankston Pier (9:45pm on Saturday night only)

    Catch Frankston line train to Frankston Station. From Frankston Station connect with the 772 bus route to Pier Promenade, Frankston. Alternatively, catch a taxi or Uber from the train station (approx. 1.3km).
