Collie is now firmly on the arts scene since the opening of the Collie Art Gallery a little under a year ago. This month they open the doors to a new exhibition called Watch this Space.

The aptly named exhibition aims to promote the work of talented Western Australian artists, both emerging and established. With an affordable entry price, expect to see some exciting new works. Exhibition opening night is Friday the 17th of June and the exhibition will run until the 17th of July 2016.



Prizes for the best works total $700 and have been donated by Whispering Pines, Chook Scraps, and Mick Murray MLA.

This regional gallery is small but very significant as it's WA's first new stand alone A-class exhibition space since the Art Gallery of WA in 1979. The gallery is wheelchair accessible.

Collie is located around 200km south-east of Perth, and 58km from Bunbury. If you're making a weekend of it, there is plenty more to see in the Collie River Valley .
