When an Oakleigh local asks you to meet them at the restaurant with no name, you know they mean Watch this Space (formerly known as The O Kitchen). For a long time, it didn't have any signage indicating its name. Located at the end of the Eaton mall, it is much less popular than nearby eateries Vanilla and Nikos. By Oakleigh standards, Watch this Space is quiet. There are plenty of customers, but you don't need to queue for a table.
I ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli with roast pumpkin, leek and pesto. With only a touch of pesto so it wasn't too oily, the full flavour of the vegetables came through. It wasn't a particularly large serving size however, and may not be adequate if you have a big appetite. At $18, it was a little pricey for just a pasta dish at a not particularly fancy restaurant. Having said that, I would definitely recommend ordering the ravioli. It's not often that you get a vegetarian pasta option that isn't boring.

Two friends ordered spaghetti bolognaise, and a plain pizza. At $17, the bolognaise was one of the cheapest pasta options. My friend seemed to enjoy it, but I have to say it did not look nearly as exciting as my ravioli. It was a little awkward that they brought out the pizza long before the two pasta dishes came out, especially as we made it clear that the pizza was for one person's meal rather than as an entrée.

Overall, Watch this Space is worth visiting, especially if you want to avoid the busier restaurants in the Eaton Mall. Like most of the nearby restaurants, Watch this Space is a tad overpriced, but their food is delicious enough to make it almost worth it.
