Located at 212 Clarendon Street, South Melbourne you will find (pronounced 'Fuh' and known to spark many a heated argument). This little treasure is a Vietnamese inspired dining experience with a hipster vibe.

The caged vintage lights hanging low, teamed with quirky wooden frames on the walls adorned with Vietnamese photos, bring a modern vibrancy to your dining experience. Vietnamese cooking shows are a given with Luke Nguyen often showcased on the large television elevated toward the back of the shop.

Whilst casual and cozy this restaurant boasts a concise menu consisting of 3 entrees and 4 mains - spring rolls, silky rice paper rolls, chargrilled skewers and, of course, the all too famous noodle soup — pho. Pho is best enjoyed on a perfect Melbourne summer's day or even better to indulge in this comforting dish when Melbourne serves up a cold snap. Vegetarians do not despair, vego options are available.

If you arrive between 12pm and 2pm on any given weekday expect the line to order to be almost at the door. However fast service and a conservative price point makes it all seem worthwhile.

A selection of condiments is set out on the long tables however this can sometimes leave more to be desired. Many of the dishes are served with the ingredients carefully laid out on a chopping board in an attempt to let your creative juices flow and take ownership of your dish.

trades from 11.30am to 3.30pm and 5.30pm to 9.00pm Monday to Friday, 12pm to 9pm on Saturday and closed on Sunday.

If you have never considered travelling to Vietnam perhaps allow to change your mind.
