Clear up the bins and get (environmentally) cleaner
Wanting to reduce your eco-footprint this winter? The City of Kingston's Waste Education Team is ready to teach you all you need to know about how you can reduce waste in your home.

On the 28th of July, head down to Cheltenham Library for an hour-long night class that will educate you on waste minimisation at home. This free presentation will first walk through the importance of reducing waste, why you should be doing it, and then strategies and easy swaps to make within your home. You will also learn the roles of packaging, tips for a zero-waste bathroom and kitchen, and what items go in each bin at home.

This is a free program hosted by the City of Kingston. Although it is free, bookings are essential. To book your place, please click here.

Good on the City of Kingston. I once went on a City of Casey Waste tour which they put on free for seniors. They took us to the tip to see how works and how the landfill is made, to a plastics recycling business and did a talk on what could be recycled. We found some if it was quite a revelation, as I imagine will the participants of the City of Kingston's event.
