Warzone Wrestling feat. Orlando Jordan and Adam Pearce

The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World Heavyweight Championship is just about as prestigious as it gets. Held by some of professional wrestling's most esteemed names such as Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, Harley Race, and Sting, the title possesses an illustrious history and looks set to be defended in Australia this March.

The man who currently holds the title, veteran American grappler "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce, is bowing out of the sport but has first decided to traverse the globe in what he has called his " One Last Ride Tour ."

Pearce is bringing the tour down-under and, providing he's still NWA World Heavyweight Champion, will defend the coveted strap against Australia's own Mike Petersen at Berwick Secondary College's Performing Arts Centre on March 10.

Pearce won't be the only American in Berwick that night. Former WWE and TNA star Orlando Jordan is also part of the card being presented by local company Warzone Wrestling and has thrown an open challenge to anyone in the locker room. While no one knows the identity of his opponent, plenty of fans will be familiar with Jordan after watching him on television as a WWE United States Champion, as well as the Chief of Staff to then-WWE Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield, and most recently a member of TNA Wrestling's tag team division.

Combined with NWA Heavyweight champion Pearce, it's pretty good star power for a show that's only going to set you back $15 for adults and $10 for kids, and if you're still not convinced, the draw-cards don't end there. At Warzone Wrestling's last show in October (catch the highlights in the video below), the company's own championship was on the line in the main event when title-holder Krackerjak faced challenger Esteban Molina. When the action spilled outside the ring and into the crowd, the referee called for a double-disqualification and Warzone officials decided a rematch would take place within the confines of a steel cage. That, too, will take place in Berwick on March 10.

The action starts at 7.30pm and seats can be pre-booked by phoning 0459 362 423 or bought at the door.
