In October 2018, artist Claire Foxton created the Warrnambool water tower art to celebrate the diverse social tapestry of Victoria's southern coast. The artwork beautifully portrays local immigrants and former refugees. Unfortunately, migrant groups tend to face many challenges and it's no different for these three people. Their stories are truly touching and can be viewed online via YouTube.

Claire's large-scale portraitures have indeed brought human triumphs and strength to life. Dora escaped the troubled Belfast in Ireland, Kaninda endured many years in a refugee camp and Darshini had to flee Sri Lanka. There's so much more to their stories and I'd recommend that you watch the video before visiting. The water tower art is located in Victoria Park on Hyland Street.
