Hundreds of mini-masterpieces
Warrior Women is a wonderful network of women supporting each other in their endeavors to create and produce art. Currently 30 warriors are exhibiting over 120 mini-artworks at Tempo Caffe Bar in West End. These gorgeous art pieces will be displayed for the month of August and are definitely worth perusing.
On Saturday I was lucky enough to attend the opening of the event, and the little café which is home to the artwork on Boundary Street was packed! The event began at 4pm and due to the trouble we had finding a car park, we arrived a little late, but only by a few minutes. However after only two minutes of wandering the crowded café I had already overheard two sales. This suggests to me that if you want to score your own gorgeous piece, you will need to get in quick.
Many of the beautiful pieces looked perfect in their sets.
Each art piece is on the smaller side, and most creations, I would estimate, are around three inches square, making them perfect to fill those small walls needing some colour, or to purchase in their sets for bigger space. Plus these creations are all very affordable, in fact they range from $10 to $250, however I believe the majority are under $60.
