Warriewood Wetland is an easy stroll from Warriewood Square - you can catch a bus, run, ride or just stroll the boardwalk.

Even after many long walks in this location, this area always has something new to discover. The boardwalks are looked after by Pittwater Council.

The long boardwalks stretch over the wetlands, so walkers can get into the guts of the wetlands and view waterbirds and other animals. It's an area which is greatly enjoyed by enthusiastic birdwatchers.

Each week I see so many professional and beginner photographers capturing the native wildlife. I have seen wallabies, water turtles, various bird species and snakes.

It's an excellent walk for families and older people as it is flat. There's also an enclosed playground and BBQs on Garden St.

The track to the waterfall is obtainable from Backyard Avenue or Irrawong Street in Warriewood. The trail to the falls isn't pram or wheelchair friendly due to a couple of small sets of stairs.

Extra walk to Narrabeen Waterfall.

This little pocket of the Northern Beaches is unknown to most local residents.

The path itself is kid-friendly and interesting. There are little bridges and boardwalks, interesting bushes and vines and plenty of flora and fauna.

Whenever you get closer to the waterfall, you can hear the rushing water, and once you reach it, you'll feel you've stepped back in time. There are amazing overhanging rocks, blanketed in carvings from people who've visited before.
