This playground looks like oasis in the middle of high rise building apartments. Its green lawn, which is always well-maintained and trees around it, make this playground worth a visit. It is located at the corner of Warrego Court and Smith St Darwin City. You can easily find this green looking playground when you pass Smith Street on the way to Cullen Bay or Mindil Beach.



Scientists have proven that outdoor play bring lots of benefits for children. It will keep them fit and do "outdoor exercise" while they have fun at the same time. On sunny days, outdoor play also helps them keep up their vitamin D intake. Parents can get these benefits too while playing with their children in the playground. I saw lots of posts on internet from mums or carer who were doing their exercise using the playground equipment while accompanying their children to the playground

Warrego Court playground has a shady cloth-covered play area. There are two section of play areas. There is a swings area, with 2 swings (one swing for little one with back support and the other swing will be more suitable for bigger children), and the other play area has 2 tunnels, 2 driving wheels, climbing frame and maze. Both play area have sand underneath.





It has one bench where you can just sit and relax while your children burn their energy out in this playground. Sometimes we bring our sand pit toys to play on the sand in this playground.



It's a pity that this playground doesn't have a public toilet nearby and we also couldn't find a bin, either.
