Let me begin by saying I am certainly not an art expert. In fact if the truth be known I have never shown a huge interest in art. Apart from the occasional piece. But this perhaps is about to all change.
The is now in its 12th year and will be on the 14th & 15th of March at the Oak Hall, 213 Wong Rd, Warranwood, Vic, 3134 between 10am - 4pm. Entry is via a donation. The Weekend Exhibition of Paintings, work on paper, ceramics and other medium are available for purchase.
Immerse yourself in a visual feast whilst enjoying the Cafe and Sessional music performance.
Browsing through their online catalog for 2014 I was mesmerised. The talent these artists have is amazing. It leaves me speechless. To think someone can visualise something and then make it come to life through a piece of art is inspiring. Just as a singer can thrill us with their melodic tones, an artist is in touch with something a lot of us may never experience. I know I will certainly be going along to visit the and encourage you to pencil in the date and do the same.
Below we can see a painting by Sarah Trickey who is based in the Mornington Peninsula, a young up and coming artist that does a lot of commissioned works of horses and pets. Sarah won our "Peoples Choice" award 2014 Called "Spanish Flamenco"
