Get ready to Boogie
The Warrandyte Festival is celebrating its 40th year and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The theme this year is "Since '77", so get your disco shoes polished and ready to boogie like it's 1977.

Get ready to boogie!

Come and join in this fabulous fun day for all the family, held at Stiggants Reserve in beautiful Warrandyte on the banks of the Yarra River.

There will be plenty of delicious food stalls, market stalls selling a range of arts and crafts, live music, dance classes, the billy cart derby, the hugely popular street parade and heaps of other entertainment for young and old alike.

New in 2017 will be the Warrandyte Film Feast showcasing a range of short films on Friday 24 March 2017. The film feast kicks off at 6.00pm with live music and food available with the first film showing as the sun goes down at 8.00pm. General admission tickets are $10 - Book your tickets here.

New in 2017 - The Film Festival

Also new in 2017 is a Light Sculptures competition. Could you be the artist the Festival is searching for? There are three categories available so everyone from kids to professionals are encouraged to enter. You can download the entry form here.

The Parade is still a major feature of the Festival and one of the most popular events. Everyone has the opportunity to showcase their kinder, school, sporting and hobby groups by participating. Entrants are encouraged to decorate floats, wear costumes, use props and be as colourful as possible. Please note that applications to be part of the parade have now closed, but watching is just as much fun. The parade takes place from 10.30am on Saturday 25 March.
Join in the fun of the colourful parade

The first Festival was held in April 1977. Lead by the local environment league and historical society, a group of local volunteers held a street parade. Some of the interesting history of the Festival can be read here and this 40 year history of the Festival is also being celebrated in a beautiful, full-colour book including all the fun and highlights of the Parade, Billycart Derby, Kids Market, Bands, entertainment and all the special themes and displays that have made this festival so successful. It can be Ordered Now for collection at the festival.

Your Comment
Warrandyte roads have open kerb drains that can swallow a car. Events here attract hundreds more people than the parking can accommodate so get dropped off if you can or prepare for a very long walk.
