On Saturday, 29th August 2015, 9th Combat Service Support Battalion of Warradale Army Barracks will support Legacy Week by hosting its first public open day, aptly named 'A Day on the Khaki Green'.

From 2pm to 7pm, Warradale Army Barracks will be a hive of demonstrations and hands-on activities - ranging from exploring the weapons simulation system and army vehicles to watching soldiers in action, undertaking mine detecting drills.

Warradale Army Barracks serves as a base for the Army Reserve, Army Cadets and Air Force Cadets. Defence Force Recruiting and the Defence Reserves Support Council will provide support on the day - hosting a careers information session at 3pm.

Live music by the Army Band Adelaide, the Navy Band Adelaide and the Band of the 10th/27th Battalion, Royal South Australia Regiment will complete 'A Day on the Khaki Green'.

Ample parking is available on-site; food and beverages are available for purchase or visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic along.
