To celebrate Warner Bros' 100th Anniversary, Bugs Bunny at the Symphony joins forces with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to bring classic Looney Tunes nostalgia to the Hamer Hall stage in April 2023, in an Australian exclusive anniversary presentation.
Bugs Bunny at the Symphony will pair 16 brilliant, iconic Looney Tunes projected on the big screen, while their original classically-infused Carl Stalling scores are played live by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Emmy Award-winner composer George Daugherty. Each performance features beloved favourites like What's Up, Doc?, The Rabbit of Seville, Coyote Falls, Long-Haired Hare, Baton Bunny, and Corny Concerto, plus 5 brand new animated shorts.
Created by Emmy Award winners George Daugherty and David Ka Lik Wong, Bugs Bunny at the Symphony has been touring the world since 1990, when the production first sold-out Broadway's Gershwin Theatre as "Bugs Bunny On Broadway." Since then, the concert has played with hundreds of orchestras and venues worldwide, ranging from The New York Philharmonic to The Boston Pops, to The Philadelphia Orchestra to The Royal Philharmonic, to the Sydney Symphony at the Sydney Opera House, to more than 2 million people around the globe.
