I've recently moved to Wollongong and have been exploring the local outdoors in this new location.

Walk or cycle along scenic Lake Illawarra and the beachfront on the smooth flat Warilla foreshore path. Suitable for a weekend stroll or a family bike ride but also popular for fitness walking.
Start from Reddall Parade, Warilla, just south of the Windang bridge, there is an off street carpark plus parking along the road. Follow the path southeast along the lakefront past a boat ramp (where it is common to spot Pelicans), picnic tables and a playground.
Just past the playground veer right and head south, initially the path is behind the scrubby dunes and the beach is out of sight but once you get to the Warilla-Barrack Point Surf Club the path has a fantastic beach view as you pass in front of Warilla's 'millionaires row' beach front houses.
Further along there is a footbridge across the Little Lake entrance and a loop around Barrack Point is a nice way to finish the walk of ride and head back. At low tide walking back along the sand of Warilla beach is pleasant.
