War Horse, the extraordinary tale of courage, loyalty and friendship will be staged at Regent Theatre from 10 January to 8 February 2020.

Based on the book of the same name by Michael Morpurgo. It's a remarkable story of courage, loyalty and friendship, telling the story of a boy called Albert and his horse Joey, set against the backdrop of World War I.

This powerful moving show is filled with stirring music, songs and features puppetry work by South Africa's Handspring Puppet Company, which brings breathing, galloping horses to life on stage.

The cast of War Horse include Kofi Aidoo-Appiah, Rianna Ash, Huw Blainey, Matthew Booth, Jo Castleton, Jonathan Cobb, Colin Connor, Ben Cutler, Khalid Daley, Zoe Halliday, Danny Hendrix, Alex Hooper, Lewis Howard, William Ilkley, Michael Jean-Marain, Andrew Keay, Clive Keene, Natalie Kimmerling, Kiran Landa, Mark Matthews, Scott Miller, Katharine Moraz, Ben Murray, Christopher Naylor, Samuel Parker, Tom Quinn, Gareth Radcliffe, Domonic Ramsden, Jack Simpson, Tom Stacy, Elizabeth Stretton, Kenton Thomas, Charlie Tighe and Matthew Trevannion.

In 2011, War Horse was also adapted into a movie, directed by Steven Spielberg.

After the Melbourne season, War Horse will tour Sydney and Perth.

Visit Regent Theatre to see Britain's award-winning production of War Horse as there's only 37 performances from 10 January to 8 February 2020.
